23/07/2006 - NEW MOUNTAINBOARD FREESTYLE WORLD CHAMP!

The South West Mountainboard Centre was again the proud host to the Fat Face World Freestyle Champs where riders from all over the globe came to throw themselves into the night sky with a shot at the coveted world title, currently held by Tom Kirkman. The Japanese entrants totally thrilled the crowds with their mind blowing attempts at a double back flip...awesome display. Other riders from the States, Russia, Belgium and of course our home-grown talent battled into the night to impress the judges with a vast array of tricks on the world largest combination of dirt jumps.

Finally, with a one point decider, Alex Downing was announced the new World Champ with Tom Kirkman in second place and AJ Lawson (USA) in third. Jos Kirkman took the ladies title.
