In 1999, the scientist skateboard nerds at Lib Tech became frustrated with 7 ply maple skate decks that lose their pop, get dead and break after a week of skating. With 31 years of composite experience, and a love of wood, the scientists set out to make the world a better place. The result was Lib-Tech's world record setting vertically laminated wood/carbon composite construction. Now you have an option! Ride obsolete 7 ply decks or ride Lib Technology. Plastihide Decks:

Perma Pop Construction:
- Tough rugged wood and Plastihide exoskeleton (like a bug)
- Light weight snappy wood in the middle
- Magnesium Oxide strand for strength & pop
- Almost twice as strong as traditional fiberglass
- Uses 30% petroleum matrix products (eco friendlier)
Glory Hole Construction:
- 19 super light air spring chambers in core
- Reduces weight
- Adds glorious pop!
- Fast growing renewable woods
- Non-petroleum based polymer plastihide top and bottom
